SUNDAY, APRIL 13, 2008 A ONCE A YEAR EVENT WHERE VOLUNTEERS THROUGHOUT THE
DISTRICT ARE RECOGNIZED FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS TO SCOUTING AND COMMUNITY.
THIS HAS BEEN A GREAT EVENT THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS AND WE ARE CERTAINLY
LOOKING FORWARD TO ANOTHER EXCITING TIME.
The
annual District Dinner will be held on the evening of April 13th
at Camp Hebron, outside of Halifax. On the menu will be the District
Award of Merit, in addition to the fine fare provided by the staff of Camp
Hebron. The District Award of Merit is the highest award that the
Blue Mountain District can give to a volunteer and we have allocated 2 to
give out. So take the time to nominate one of the many deserving
volunteers in the Blue Mountain District. Fill out the attached form
and return to Mike Proper or the Council Office. We will also use
this opportunity to allow a unit to award one of the many volunteer
recognitions that exist in the Scouting world. Contact me and I will
make sure you get on the program.
Dinner
will run $12 per person and will include grilled marinated chicken
breast, Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, veggie blend and salad.
There will be an actual flyer in next few days. Hope to see you
there.
